This advertisement is from the highly anticipated summer 2015 'Summer Nights' Collection. What caught my eye particularly within the image are the copper and gold tones around the eye, which to me screams high summer but I also love that Urban Decay have stuck to their roots and incorporated a saturated, glossy bright purple lip. The gold tones and purple work really well together to create a unique, beach appropriate look.
This advert has inspired me to create a gold toned look with a pop of colour for my High Summer shoot. These tones work well with most eye colours and really brighten and open up the eye. I aim to use lots of golden, champagne and copper shades from the original Naked Palette to give a bright eyed look which is perfect for a summer inspired make-up as for this season most people wouldn't necessarily wear a really heavy make-up look.
Sticking to the original Urban Decay roots, I'd like to use a bright, glossy colour on the lips. I'm really enjoying using pinks and oranges on the lips, so will experiment with these colours to see which works best with the golden eyes.
